Waldo "William" Coe, age 78, passed away on May 11, 2017 surrounded by his family.
He was born on January 15, 1939 in Surry County to Oscar and Ruth Coe.
William retired from Wilson Covington in 2010 with 50 years of service. He began there as an accountant and retired as an officer of the company. William was a member of the Quaker faith and an active member of Forsyth Friends Meeting. He was an elder, and served on the Building Committee and the Finance Committee as the Chair of Finance.

Waldo "William" Coe, age 78, passed away on May 11, 2017 surrounded by his family.
He was born on January 15, 1939 in Surry County to Oscar and Ruth Coe.
William retired from Wilson Covington in 2010 with 50 years of service. He began there as an accountant and retired as an officer of the company. William was a member of the Quaker faith and an active member of Forsyth Friends Meeting. He was an elder, and served on the Building Committee and the Finance Committee as the Chair of Finance.
He is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Evelyn Rhoades, Roy Coe, Velma Binkley, and Rex Coe; and sister-in-law, Joyce Williams.
William leaves behind his loving wife of 51 years, Glenda Tickle Coe; children, Keith Coe (Cameron MacDonald), Angela Medlin (Chris Snyder), and Michelle (Andrew) Hart; grandchildren, Will Medlin, Emily Medlin, Anna Hart, Michael Hart, and Sara Hart; siblings, Hazel Young, Dennis (Barbara) Coe, and Ron (Raynelle) Coe; sister-in-law, Dorothy Coe; brother-in-laws, Gibb Rhoades and Jim Binkley; in-laws, Barbara (Wade) White, Donald (Ann) Tickle, Stan Williams, and Carol (Michael) Smitherman; and many nieces, nephews, loved ones, and friends.
The family would like to say a special thank you to Catherine Reams, Sara Asbury, Dot Rickard, Ryan Songer, Sherri Sisk, Larry Boyd, Greg Oravits, Krystyna Davis, Liliana Boskovic, and the staff at Trinity Elms for their service and compassion.
The funeral service will be Saturday, May 13th at 2pm at Vogler & Sons Funeral Home, 2951 Reynolda Rd, with Steve Wood and Jake Penley officiating. The family will receive friends at 1pm prior to the service for a visitation.
