Sarah Haskins, 82, of Winston-Salem, passed away on May 13, 2017 in her home. Sarah was born on September 24, 1934 in Summers County, WV to E.L. Fink and Cleo Lewis Fink. Sarah was an active member of Highland Presbyterian Church, a volunteer for Meals on Wheels, as well as a devoted mother, wife and doting grandmother. After retiring from the City of Winston-Salem, Sarah spent her days enjoying gardening and playing bridge. She will be remembered for her quick wit and pragmatic approach to life. Sarah Haskins, 82, of Winston-Salem, passed away on May 13, 2017 in her home. Sarah was born on September 24, 1934 in Summers County, WV to E.L. Fink and Cleo Lewis Fink. Sarah was an active member of Highland Presbyterian Church, a volunteer for Meals on Wheels, as well as a devoted mother, wife and doting grandmother. After retiring from the City of Winston-Salem, Sarah spent her days enjoying gardening and playing bridge. She will be remembered for her quick wit and pragmatic approach to life. She loved spending time with her family, particularly in her sunroom which was built by her son-in-law. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert B. Haskins; her daughter, Ann Haskins Green; and her two brothers, Charles Anderson Fink and Billy J. Fink. She is survived by her son, Steve Haskins; daughter, Nancy Albers and husband Charley; her son-in-law Steve Green; her sister, Nancy Witschey of Blue Grass, VA; her grandson, Matt Green and his wife Elizabeth; her granddaughters, Katie Harris and her husband Shane of Edmonton, Canada; and Amanda Manupella and her husband Dominic. Sarah is also survived by four loving great-grandchildren, Maya, Addie, Jaeda, and Nathan, and numerous nieces and nephews. Special thanks are also made to Sarah's caregivers: Cindy Barber, Allison Staples, and Rox Ann Wall. The funeral service will be held May 18, 2017 at Highland Presbyterian Church at 11:00am with a visitation to follow.
