Our sweet, wonderful mother, Lettie Fae Lowder, 97, passed away peacefully Nov. 28, 2016. She was born June 19, 1919 in Georgetown, SC. At the age of 18 she married her childhood sweetheart, the late Henry Leroy (Bill) Lowder. She is survived by five children, Larry Lowder (Claire), Angie Martin (Kent,deceased), Lynn James (Frank), Carol Davenport (Ken), Debbie Good (Steve). She was the proud grandmother of sixteen grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. Fae was a homemaker, seamstress and music lover. She is survived by five children, Larry Lowder (Claire), Angie Martin (Kent,deceased), Lynn James (Frank), Carol Davenport (Ken), Debbie Good (Steve). She was the proud grandmother of sixteen grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. Fae was a homemaker, seamstress and music lover. After Bill's death at a young age, she learned to drive and work outside the home. Many have benefited from her kind and generous nature.
A Memorial Service will be held in Winston-Salem on Saturday, Dec. 3rd at Frank Vogler & Sons Reynolda Chapel, 2951 Reynolda Road at 11am. The family will receive visitors at 10am. After the Memorial Service Mom will be laid to rest beside our Dad in Fairview Memorial Park, Albemarle, NC.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Mallard Ridge Assisted Living Resident Assistance Fund, in Loving Memory of Fae Lowder, 9420 N NC Hwy. 150, Clemmons, NC 27012, or a charity of your choice. Our family would like to thank Mallard Ridge for assisting in the care of our mother for the last ten years.
